Red Hot Chili Peppers at Jannus Landing 1989
March 17, 1989 @ Jannus LiveHighlights from a Red Hot Chili Peppers show at Jannus Landing in December of 1989. Shot with my little Sony CCD-V99 Hi8 camcorder, it brings back some great memories about that era of the Peppers for me. They really had an amazing connection with the audience when they were playing small venues. And they put more energy, effort, love, skill...more...I dunno...more of everything they had into their show than most bands can ever pull together. And plenty of P.T. Barnum, too. There was a tropical storm in the Gulf and the weather was rainy and windy, so Anthony said they realized they'd need to wear their super-absorbent diapers. Good times.
