No bands. No backup. Just songs and the people who wrote them.
Two punk lifers from opposite coasts strip it down and square off.
JASON PAUL (@jasonpaul_theknowitalls) rolls in from San Pedro, CA—frontman of Jason Paul & the Know It Alls, with roots in the Minneapolis punk scene and band members from Modern Machines, Holy Shit!, and Tenement. His sound? That psychedelic-tinged Pedro punk mixed with 60s protest folk and 80s post-hardcore. Albums like Tender Bender and the Homemade series prove the songs hit just as hard without the full band.
MICHELLE SHIRELLE (@hastybandbrooklyn) comes down from Brooklyn—Steinways and Scrapped Plans veteran, now fronting Hasty alongside Danny Z (The Marshmallows) and Mikey Erg. If you worship at the altar of 90s Lookout! Records, this is church. Ramshackle pop-punk gold, stripped to the studs.
One room. Two coasts. Your move.
