June 4, 1982 @ The Warehouse

A mediocre quality recording of an admittedly mediocre performance from The Clash, an excellent Train In Vain is accompanied by maybe the weakest live version of Clampdown. The first gig at The Warehouse was a triple bill of The Flock, Fleetwood Mac and the Grateful Dead on January 30, 1970, and the final gig was Talking Heads on September 10, 1982 - perhaps an end symbolic of the changing of the rock music guard. The Warehouse was ultimately demolished in April 1989, years after it's final gig. In between, it hosted many famous gigs, one of the most notable being Jim Morrison's last concert with The Doors on December 12, 1970. The Clash played mere months before it shut down. It was their only performance in New Orleans, and fittingly they brought New Orleans legend Lee Dorsey to open for them.
